What is it?
The text editor allows you to add links, attachments and add content to a document in Blackboard.
What does it do?
The text editor in Blackboard allows you to embed a URL or a link to an external source in your text. You can also attach files from your PC and insert content such as an image, video or an external application.
What should I know?
Step 1: When editing a section of a document, notice last section of the text editor. This is where you will find the icons which allow you to add a link, attachment or to insert content.
Step 2: To add a link to your document, click on the first icon.
Step 3.1 To add a URL link to your document, copy and paste it in the link URL box and select insert
Step 3.2: To embed a link within your text, the same applies as in step 3.1 however, you also need to add the text that you want to link to. After this, click insert or save
You will now be able to click on your text as you would an ordinary link.
Step 4: To insert an attachment from your PC click the icon (looks like a paper clip), locate your file on your file browser and select open
Step 5.1: Finally, you can insert content using the last icon (looks like a plus sign). You will have a few options here once you have clicked this.
