Add the different types of content available in My Dundee (LTIs)

What is it?

LTI stands for Learning Tools Interoperability. An LTI is essentially a learning tool that is not necessary part of the My Dundee collection of tools but rather can be integrated with My Dundee.

What does it do?

There are several LTIs you can use in My Dundee including Padlet, Turnitin, YuJa and Mentimeter.

  • Create downloadable content for your module
  • Upload a variety of file types to your module folders
  • Also gives the ability to drag and drop files to your course content

What should I know?

Step 1: From your course content page, navigate to where you want to place the LTI, select the plus icon and select External Apps

Blackboard module screen showing the add content menu with the Content & Tools menu highlighted

Step 2: Select the item you want to add. If there is a small plus sign icon, be sure to click on this to add it to your module. If there is no small plus sign icon, you can click anywhere in the button for the tool you want to add.

Step 3: Follow any further steps required for the item. See our guides on Turnitin and embedding YuJa items.
