Enable anonymous marking in a Turnitin assignment

What is it?

By enabling anonymous marking, you have the option to obscure student names from their submissions until the feedback release date.

What does it do?

All student names will be obscured from the assignment, similarity report and the Gradebook until the specified feedback release date.

To reverse this process, follow the same steps and untick enable anonymous marking.

What should I know?

Step 1: Select your Turnitin assignment.

Step 2: Navigate to the settings cog wheel on the upper right hand-side of the screen.

Step 3: Select optional settings at the bottom of the page.

Step 4: Tick enable anonymous marking.

Step 5: Click submit.

You also have the ability to save these settings for the future. Tick the box to enable this.

To check this option is enabled, head to the Gradebook, enter your assignment and you will see anonymous marking enabled in replacement of the student names.
