In recent years, we have made significant gains in enhancing our video capabilities to better support student learning. From lecture capture and hybrid delivery to the production of rich asynchronous video content, the university has been committed to leveraging technology to improve the learning experience. My Dundee Student Onboarding Plan
Over the past few months, we have been working to develop a timeline to release helpful hints, guides, and videos for My Dundee and related teaching tools to students when they need it. ABC Design Workshops: An update
In summer 2020, we ran a number of ABC workshops for staff, we built "Blend Your Module" on LearningX - and we generally worked with staff to support them as they rebuilt their modules to work for blended learning, a blend that was pretty unpredictable heading into the winter of 2020-21. Turnitin Issues – Resolved!
Update 12:40 BST: This issue has now been completely resolved. Turnitin have confirmed that the issue occurred between 09:14 - 12:20 BST. Update - 11:35 BST Turnitin is now accessible so students will be able to submit work and staff will be able to review and add marks and feedback. Turnitin are managing a backlog of work, so there still may be some slowness in service. Their status update page warns that similarity report generation will be delayed. If you had ... read more
Archival of 7-year-old content from My Dundee (2022)
Now that all modules that start in Semester 1 or 2 of 2022 have been created (this includes all modules coded SEM01, SEM12, and SEM02), it’s time to return to the process of archiving modules older than seven years. As part of our annual process, we archive modules older than seven years for a period of six months, after which they are deleted (unless continued archival is requested). Anybody using YuJa between 17:00 and 17:30 on Wednesday, 20/07/2022 may find their access to the service interrupted and we advice everyone to avoid using YuJa during this time. Scheduled Turnitin Downtime
Turnitin has scheduled downtime for 9 July between 00:00 and 08:00 BST. During this time, Turnitin and the related tool Gradescope will not be available to staff or students for any purpose, including submitting assignments for students, and creating assignments and marking for staff. Although we hope that any and all disruptions to service will occur within this window, you should check the Turnitin status page for the latest information.
