Collaborate attendance issue
Currently, attendance recording in Collaborate isn’t marking students who do not attend the session at all.
The system is accurately recording the following the following information:
- Students who meet all requirements (join on time, present for the required percent of the total session time) are marked as Present
- Students who are present for the required percent of the total session time, but join after the ‘Late after’ setting are marked as Late
- Students who join the session, but fail to meet attendance requirements (join after the ‘Absent after setting’ or are not present for the required percent of the total session time) are marked Absent
Students who do not join the session at all are left ‘unmarked’ in the Attendance area in the module. Blackboard are currently working on resolving this issue, but in the meantime you can look at the room reports and manually mark any student who did not attend at all as Absent.
