All University of Dundee staff and students have access to a wide range of academic resources, brought to you by the Library & Learning Centre (LLC). Each year the Library works to negotiate enhancements and additions to our collections, and these can often include online journal access, ebooks, video content, images and specialist databases.

As we start the new academic year the Library has four new additions to share with academic colleagues which they anticipate could be embedded within teaching modules.

RCN Archive – archival access to all titles in the Royal College of Nursing Collection, back to v.1  (their flagship title is Nursing Standard which started publication in 1987). See the full list of titles.

Lexis Library PSL Service – the Lexis Library subscription now includes full access to the PSL service, which offers ‘Practical guidance for lawyers – including practice notes, checklists, forms, precedents, cases, Acts, calculators and links to trusted Butterworths sources’. The service can be accessed from the Lexis Library dropdown menu.

Online ‘Bloomsbury Design Library’ – an online resource offering ‘cutting-edge scholarly coverage of design and crafts worldwide, from 1500 BC to the present day, with an expanding range of authoritative reference and book content, alongside a rich selection of museum object images’. The content includes the Bloomsbury Encyclopedia of Design, the World History of Design, Encyclopedia of Asian Design and more than 70 e-books in design and crafts, with a broad range of topics in design and craft history, national design traditions, design theory and criticism.  The Bloomsbury Design Library also includes Designer Biographies, Museum Collections, Exhibition Archives and a Timeline of the History of Design. You can find out more about this collection on the LLC website.

Berg Fashion Library – one of the leading resources for students and researchers of fashion studies, museum studies, cultural studies, anthropology and more. There are more than 13,000 colour images, over 100 academic e-books, an invaluable museum directory, a unique exhibition archive, reference works, and teaching resources are available to enrich studies across many disciplines. You can find out more about this collection and how to access it on the LLC website
