Five weeks and counting

Welcome to the first of our Digital Education Digests, bringing you the latest announcements, resources and tips from the Centre for Technology and Innovation in Learning and the wider digital education community.

With less than five weeks until the start of Semester one, we’ll issue this weekly Digest via your School Digital Champion(s)and on our Blog.

This week it’s all about training so if you’ve not booked on to our popular Ultra 101 training sessions, there no time like the present! We’d love to hear your views, suggestions, and contributions for future articles, so please get in touch.

Creating opportunities for engaged learning

We’ve started running a series of educational development workshops with Schools, with more being arranged in the coming weeks. Tailored to the needs of each School these aim to explore and co-create opportunities for engaged learning as we move to blended learning for 20/21. Please look out for information about these sessions within your School, especially from your digital champions.

We are continuing to run our online 101 Training sessions and are pleased to announce four new sessions, bringing us up to
14 sessions a week. These will be run each week for
the rest of the summer.

Training Facts ‘n’ Stats

So far, we have run a total of 82 sessions covering 14 topics across 5 different software services. We have seen 304 individual members of staff attending taking a total of 1509 places across all sessions.

These sessions will keep running up to and throughout the academic year, adjusting the frequency and topics covered to fit the needs of the academic community.

Coming soon…

We will soon be publishing a new set of online guides, together with videos to complement the training session
