My Dundee and Turnitin Training

CTIL are offering some bookable training sessions for My Dundee and Turnitin in the run up to the start of term.

These sessions are bookable via Eventbrite – and are limited to 15 people per session: [They are all in the Watson Watt Room in the library; due to building work, please use the stair case near the Eduzone, rather than the one near the entrance]

My Dundee.

An Introduction for staff who’re new to My Dundee (or who feel they need a reminder of the basics).

We’ll look at:

  • Uploading files.
  • Adding assessments.
  • Organising content
  • Adding audio/visual elements.
  • Discussion boards.

Turnitin

An introduction for staff who are involved with setting up assignments in Turnitin. This will cover a brief overview of Turnitin, and the options that staff need to consider when setting up assignments.  (We will be looking at marking assignments later in the term).

Drop in.

During the weeks beginning August 28th, and September 4th, we intend to have drop in sessions most days for staff wanting quick help with aspects of setting up MyDundee and Turnitin – and any other questions you may have about eLearning. We will advertise locations and times shortly.

OPD

We are running some courses for both My Dundee and Turnitin through OPD in October / November, and again in Semester 2. Full details will be on OPD’s website shortly.
