Resolved – My Dundee Issue Uploading Files

Update

12 October 2022 – This issue has now been resolved! If you continue to have any problems uploading files, please let us know via Help4U!

What is it?

We have had reports in today, 10 October 2022, of instructors trying to upload PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoints, or image files to their course content page, but being unable to do so. There isn’t an error message or any clear note of failure – the file simply does not upload. If you have an issue with a file type not mentioned above, please let us know via Help4U!

What’s happening to fix it?

We’ve contacted Blackboard about this and are working to resolve it. We’ll use this blog post to add any updates or information about this issue.

Are there any workarounds?

Yes! Although this issue is appearing when you add files directly to your “Course Content” page, it is not happening when you add these same files to a “Document” page.

If you need to upload files to your module while we wait for a resolution, you can create a document page (following the guidance here) and upload a file or add your file as an attachment.

Comments

  1. Alternatively one can use “Content Collection” rather than “Upload”, and then upload files from the content collection (the upload of PDFs to the content collection still works).

  2. I applied for msc international marketing since 15th of September, although my documents are yet to be complete for upload. But now I wish to complete and upload my documents in the Action acknowledgement file upload but unable to access that portal to upload my documents.
