What is it?
When you submit an assessment, you will receive a digital receipt. This shows that you have successfully submitted your work but also includes other important information that it is worth making a note of e.g., your submission ID and the date and time sent. This guide will show you how to locate your receipt from within your Turnitin assignment dashboard.
What does it do?
Not only does a digital receipt give you peace of mind that you have submitted your work, but it is useful to have for the rare occasion that something goes wrong and a staff member needs to locate your submission for whatever reason. Knowing the paper ID is especially key to the process.

What should I know?
Step 1: From your module page in My Dundee, navigate to your Course Content
Step 2: Navigate to the Assessment Area and select your Turnitin assignment
Step 4: Click Launch from the side panel to open a detailed view of your submission.
Note: At the time of this guide, there is a known issue where the information on the side panel for Turnitin assignments may have inaccurate information. For example, it may say your assignment is late or overdue when it has been successfully submitted on time. Clicking ‘Launch’ will bring you to a page that has the accurate information for your submission, including a date and time stamp.
Step 5: Navigate to Turnitin assignment dashboard and select the digital receipt icon
Step 6: Download and save your receipt. The paper ID/Submission ID can be found at the bottom of the text, above the preview of your document.
